  Worcester Conservatives - Blog
Oooooo, Margaret Harper has updated her blog with a ground shattering revelation, one woman in Worcester has asked her for, nay demanded, a leaflet because she "really wanted to get rid of Mr. Blair"

I've asked them to add a comments feature, but don't hold your breath.

Who Should You Vote For?

Who should I vote for?

Your expected outcome:

Liberal Democrat

Your actual outcome:

Labour -50
Conservative -49
Liberal Democrat 78
UK Independence Party 10
Green 43

You should vote: Liberal Democrat

The LibDems take a strong stand against tax cuts and a strong one in favour of public services: they would make long-term residential care for the elderly free across the UK, and scrap university tuition fees. They are in favour of a ban on smoking in public places, but would relax laws on cannabis. They propose to change vehicle taxation to be based on usage rather than ownership.

  Michael Foster MP
I am well aware the title above is not right. As I write this Mr Foster's website is still proclaiming him as MP for Worcester. I tried to e-mail him but got this back

FOSTERM@parliament.uk

Can anyone spot the mistake?

So I've mailed the Conservative and Lib Dem candidates asking for election material, and mentioned that may wish to contact Mr Foster. Once Mr Foster has an e-mail address I can get through on I will send a similar request to him. Oh I also mentioned that Mrs Harpers blog could be better used.

UPDATE: 21:44 from Mr Fosters own e-mail account (which I will keep to myself)
Thank you Dave - the site administrator is posting the appropriate
message, which applied as from 5.30pm today.

Why not leg of the woods?
A friend enquired t'other day why we say neck of the woods, and not leg, or head or *censored* of the woods.

Clickety click Mr P and all will be revealed.

Can Brum legal bid halt May election?
The deputy leader of Birmingham City Council has started a legal process that could force Tony Blair to postpone the General Election until adequate safeguards are in place to prevent postal vote fraud.
John Hemming wants the High Court to allow a judicial review into the Prime Minister's decision to go to the country on May 5.
Coun Hemming, who is the prospective Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Birmingham Yardley, said he was taking the unprecedented step of attempting to block the election because of the "very real likelihood" that scores of inner city constituencies across the UK would be riddled by ballot rigging.

Thanks to Bob Piper for spotting this link. and therefore making me get off me ass.

The results of the survey can be found here. My local MP Michael Foster is yet to respond, as is Tom Watson, or Boris Johnson. Richard Allan (who is stepping down) has replied.

Staying with Mr Foster, his stalking horse is Margaret Harper and she claims a blog, a bit sketchy for now, but I look forward to enjoying her blogging, which she seems to really enjoy *cough*
Finally we have Mary Dhanou for the LibDems, who has no blog, but a winning smile.

Just up the road, the Wyre Forest constiuency has an independent MP in the form of Dr. Richard Taylor who came to power as the only independent in the last parliament representing the Health Concern party. The LibDems have announced that they will stand not against the incumbent, which could play quite well into the hands of the local liberal party, who have a strong PPC in Fran Oborski whose website is a blog and always has been.
