US drugs suspects held in custody
A couple facing extradition to the US over an internet-based drug making ring have been remanded in custody.

look deeper
It has been alleged that they supplied chemicals to illegal drugs laboratories in the US involved in making the synthetic drug methamphetamine.
The move followed an indictment handed down by a grand jury in Arizona which alleges that the couple sold chemicals through their website - including red phosphorus and iodine - which are used to manufacture the drug, also known as crystal meth.

All allegations
Police allege that the pair created a "one stop shop" for the chemicals.
Sheriff Isabella McColl refused bail mainly, she said, to protect the public, to ensure the proper administration of justice and because of the special circumstances of the case.
"They have the means to take flight and face very serious charges in the USA", she said.

And more. They'll be extradiated. Allegedly

  Compare and contrast

First we have a citizen who lied in statements to the police and has now been found to be whoring for cash. VIDEO

Then we have a Lord who allegedly lied in statements to the police and has may be found to be whoring for cash.

Both are running the chance of being charged with Perverting the Course of Justice .

Now who do you think deserves the longer sentence? Answers in the comments please.

  BBC's download plans get backing
This makes me so happy.
I watch more and more of my "TV" sat in front of my PC than I do sat in front of the big box that lives in the living room.
Partly to blame is SmashingTelly who have posted some, well, Smashing Telly since I found them, but mostly that I like to be able to other stuff whilst I'm 'watching' telly.
I can play poker, post witty erudite comments on websites of fellow bloggers and generally do stuff, which without a laptop is a no starter.

It starts to make the money I've paid out for a TV licence make sense. Almost.
